Preparing to marry

If you are planning to receive the sacrament of Marriage, please contact the parish priest 9-12 months beforehand.

Couples wishing to marry in the Catholic Church are strongly recommended to attend a Pre-Marriage course -- ideally before they announce their engagement or at least six months before their wedding day.

The Pre-Marriage Education programme in Auckland diocese offers couples relevant and practical insights to help them handle the issues they will encounter within the life-long commitment of marriage.
